Floatation Therapy: An Alternative For Veterans
Menomonee Falls, WI – October 10, 2017
More commonly known as sensory deprivation, Floatation Therapy consists of guests entering a Float Room filled with 200 gallons of water, and 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt, allowing the body to float on top of the water without any effort. Floaters then have the ability to turn off lights, and sounds, providing them a nearly 100 percent stimuli-free environment.
Without the need to process stimuli, veterans can stop thinking about their combat experiences and simply “be.” Many Veterans have found the solitude of the Float Room environment at A Better Me– specifically, not having to talk to anyone about their experiences – to be a refreshingly different and comfortable space for processing their personal thoughts and memories.
The active military and retired Veteran community is one that A Better Me really loves to serve! To celebrate Veteran’s Day being around the corner, A Better Me would like to thank the men and women who have served and those who continue to serve. From November 5-17, all Floats are FREE to Veterans and those actively serving. All other services are on sale at 50% OFF to those show a Military ID during this time.
Please note that at A Better Me, they ALWAYS recognize those who wore and those who continue to wear the uniform. As a thank you for the sacrifices they’ve made, they offer 30% OFF all services and packages for Military past and present year round.
“We’ve been helping many Veterans over the years and we are extremely hopeful that we are able to help more” stated Cayla Zahn.
