Essential Oils Aromatherapy Young Living Doterra Massage Therapy Spa

Add a scent of your choice to customize your massage.

When combined with massage techniques, aromatherapy can provide an additional level of relaxation and healing. Inhaled scents may work on guests’ minds and emotions to encourage relaxation and stress release. When rubbed into the skin, massage oils containing essential oils (in proper balance) can provide potent relief from pain and inflammation.

People who experience depression may see improvements when adding aromatherapy massage to their current regimes of psychotherapy and medication. The brain areas responsible for scent, emotion, and memory are closely related. Experts believe certain aromas trigger positive memories and feelings and may contribute to anxiety relief. Everyone has different personal associations with various scents. This, coupled with a certain level of belief in aromatherapy treatments, helps determine the amount of healing a particular person may experience.

Researchers have conducted a number of clinical studies on aromatherapy. They’ve found that essential oils have a positive effect on many people, especially pregnant women (who may not be able to use other forms of relief).

Cupping Massage Therapy

Cupping therapy is a method that uses negative pressure and creates suction.  This therapy releases rigid soft tissue, drains excess fluids and toxins, loosens adhesions by lifting connective tissues, and brings blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.  After receiving Cupping Therapy people often report that the experience stays with them longer than most treatments, and the effects of the tissue is truly amazing.

Cupping Therapy affects the body the same as a deep tissue massage.  You may experience Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness that will be akin to a long hard work out.

If you are unsure whether or not a condition you have may be contraindicated, please first consult your doctor.

      • Hernias- Cupping can cause further protrusion and complications.
      • Slipped disc – Cupping can cause the disc to move due to the negative pressure.
      • Pregnancy -Although fluid retention can be treated on the legs with superficial cupping using the soft cup, it is always advised to get your doctor’s approval before using any form of complimentary therapies. Also, if you have never received a cupping treatment, you should wait until the 2nd trimester to receive your first treatment.
      • Cancer (minimum remission of 5 years) – Cupping can interfere with the treatment and medication prescribed by the oncologist. Always consult your doctor before applying any form of complimentary therapies after the 5 year remission.
      • Blood disorders – Cupping therapy stimulates blood supply, which may not be advised where there are blood disorders and prescribed medications present.
      • Weak, ulcerated or broken skin (localized) – Cupping can exert pressure and cause bleeding of the already fragile tissues.
      • Varicose Veins– The negative pressure of the cups will increase protrusion of the varicose vein.
      • Phlebitis – Cupping therapy may interfere with the prescribed treatment or medication by the physician and speed up the removal of infection which may worsen symptoms experienced by the patient.
      • Renal failure or history thereof – Cupping may contribute to extra pressure on the already struggling kidneys as cupping therapy speeds up detoxification which is a main function of the kidneys.
      • Cirrhosis of the liver or history thereof – Cupping may contribute to extra pressure on the already struggling kidneys as cupping therapy speeds up detoxification which is a main function of the liver.
      • Heart disease or history thereof – Cupping therapy may interfere with the physician’s prescribed medication or on-going treatment. Consult with your practitioner before adding cupping therapy.
      • Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure – Cupping Therapy can cause blood pressure fluctuations and may interfere with the prescribed medical treatment.
      • Diabetes – Diabetics bruise easily and have slow healing capability, which may cause undesired complications.
      • Energy Depleted Clients – Cupping induces a deep form of relaxation which may exert further complications on the adrenal glands.
      • Clients on blood thinning medication (anti-coagulants) – Cupping therapy increases blood flow, and this fact may interfere with prescribed medications dosages and blood levels.
